AWST STORY

AWST STORY: "But Baseler says that the A350 falls short in terms of range compared to the 777-200ER. Moreover, he contends that Airbus had to resort to some serious number fudging to make the case that the A350 competes with the 777. Boeing officials have long accused Airbus of inflating seat-count to make their product more appealing and, Baseler says, the same is happening now. He notes that Airbus says the A350-900 can seat 300, while Boeing's 777-200ER seats only 295, even though the latter has 11% more cabin area. Boeing's figures cite 279 seats for the A350-900 and 301 for its own aircraft. "
